Pros:  Superb Imaging, "Full-frame" Sensor, Extensive Feature Set, Great Ergonomics, Solid Construction
Cons:  Price, No protection of the View Panel

Superb instrument! Rugged construction in a physically smaller package than the 1D series (I have small hands). I am moving from film and the full-frame sensor has allowed me a smoother transition as I "know" what focal length lenses to use in a given situation - no translating. This convenience does come at a cost - literally - the full frame sensor adds significantly to the price of the camera. To me the cost was justifiable. The view panel protection (or lack thereof) is not unique to Canon, but more factory provided protection would be appreciated. I heartily recommend this camera to anyone looking at this level.
