I bought the tripod to use with my spoting scope. I have a 20-60X60 scope. When attached to the tripod! it is a great sound fit and the adjustments work well. This unit seems very strong. The unit was bought to place on the shooting table next to me and spotting as I shoot at the 100 yd range. Could also be used with a pair of binoculars or a scope or a camera. Worth the money, for the most part.

I bought the tripod to use with my spoting scope. I have a 25-125X80 scope. When attached to the tripod the whole unit simply tips over! no matter which way you adjust the tripod. This unit seems very flimsy. The unit was bought to place on the shooting table next to me and spoting as I shoot. Could be used with a very light and small pair of binoculars or scope - anything of mid to large dimensions simply will not work. Not worth the money, for the most part. Recomend for small light cameras, binoculars or spoting scope (also tried friends 20-60X60 STANDARD spoting scope) also toooo much for this tripod.

Pros: ok, minus the elevation adjustment
Cons: elevation tube and crank works stiff and sticks
Would recommend: no

I would recommend this if the elevation adjustment handle and tube operated better. It is stiff and sticks. The handle is thin plastic and will probably break if any pressure is put on it. Can't actually use the swivel handle due to this. Too bad, the rest of the tripod is ok. This flaw ruins a some what decent tripod in my opinion.

The Carson Rock Junior Tripod is excellent for the price. I did not want to buy a expensive tripod, but for what you get, and the quality, this tripod is hard to beat. Like the fact that it has a built in bubble level, small & compact, quick release feature, sturdy. I am going to buy the Carson TP-300 in the future based on my experience with this Carson Rock junior TP-100 tripod.
The little who satisfies.
