Multi-coated optics are really good. It can give bright sharp view all the way until maximum magnification. Definately recommended for all. Good to carry around as well. Very light weight & comes with comfortable backpack.

This is a great little scope for spotting target hits at any distance. It's also very good for observing the moon and planets. With my own 6mm plossl eyepiece things are very clear and close but we are at the very edge of the scope's capabilities. The tripod is OK but not the greatest.

I'm an amateur astronomer of many years, (sold my old orange C90 several years ago, and have wanted another C90 ever since) I put it on a sturdy bogen tripod. Replaced supplied diagonal with a 90 degree star diagonal, and will order a red dot finder for it. First night out, the banding on Jupiter is obvious with the higher power eyepiece. Sharper with a 7mm eyepiece. Great on double stars and variable stars. It's easy to observe delta Cephei brighten and dim over a few days. This C90 just excellent as a lunar scope with the 12.5mm eyepiece. I have a 4" APO, but my C90 stays set up by the door for a run-out-the-door-because-the-sky-is-clear. M's 44 and 45 are white jewels through this scope. I even found Vesta a few weeks ago using the Sky and Tel charts. The C90 is a lightweight window to the universe, as well as a trusty scientific instrument.
