I use this scope as a teaching tool for the Boy Scout Merit Badge. It is great for teaching telescope basics prior to them moving to the larger scopes. Moon obeservation are easy and outstanding. It is small enough and tough enough to lend to the scouts to do home observations with out much worrie of damage. My only sugestion would be to have some type of simple star finder added or optional to the scope.
