I have owed different, a few different, types of binoculars and have been a amateur photographer preferring Minolta equipment. What you have here is a very good pair of optics for a decent price. They are smaller than the average pair of 10x50's, more like standard 8x32's, with exceptional clarity, much better than standard 10x50's. They function well and easily pack away in a glove box compartment. You could pay less, I have, and get less (read fuzzy), bigger and/or heavier. The thing is I have above average vision and these complement what I am used to seeing with my own eyes but at a distance and these do that very well. If you want more specific features such as water repellent lens coatings or a specific (read greater) diopter adjustment range you can pay more... but you won't get a 2x better image by paying 2x more... maybe 3% or even 10% better for paying 2 to 7 times as much for similar 10x42's.
Pros: Small, light weight, clear optics, price, quality...
