Most Helpful Positive Review great for shooting to 100 yards
I bought this for seeing paper targets at 50 and 100 yards at the public range. It works fine for that. Sure, a bit more magnification would be nice...

Perfect for what it is.

I bought this little scope and a basic tripod for spotting targets on the archery range. That sort of use is exactly where it excells. I wouldn't expect it to hold up well under rough field conditions. It is very compact and lightweight. In its bag it easily fits in my range kit. The optics are bright and sharp. The zoom and focus both operate smoothly with no issues. Sure there are piles of scopes out there with brighter, sharper optics but for the money you will be hard pressed to beat this scope. I have no experiance with it but I suspect its 70mm cousin to be basically the same....
Pros:
  • well built
  • Bright, clear picture
  • Compact and Light
  • smooth focus
  • nice zoom
Cons:
  • Better tripod needed

great for shooting to 100 yards

I bought this for seeing paper targets at 50 and 100 yards at the public range. It works fine for that. Sure, a bit more magnification would be nice for 100 yards, but I can see the 6.5 mm (0.254 inch) holes in my targets just fine. 0.22 is a bit more challenging, but can be done. If you want something for viewing at moderate distances this is a nice, inexpensive scope. I especially like that it can be rotated in the holder so the eyepiece can be pointed to the side while on the shooting bench. Shoot, then look into the scope. No fuss. I almost talked myself into paying $100 more for a 60X scope, but it turns out that is just fine. I'm pleased. It has enough eye relief that I can look through at the highest magnification while wearing my eyeglasses. According to many of the reviews I read for the low-priced, higher-power scopes, that can be a problem.
Pros: good value for money...
