Good microscope for the money. Has zoom and photo capibilities along with good lighting. The filters and ability to change contrast makes viewing slides easy and no dyes are necessary for simple viewing. The case is a bit on the flimsy side, so, I kept the foam packing material and use it to hold the microscope firmly in place for transport. This works well.

Pros:  It's very easy to setup, takes resiliant pictures, very clear for everyday use, very bright LED lamps
Cons:  the digital zoom becomes less clear

It has the capabilities of seeing Lactobacillis as well! Another great use I have for it is to verify there is no contaminants in my yeast slurry after I acid wash them for repropagating and sustaining protocols. I highly recommend this microscope for all homebrewers.
