Absolute Amazing Binoculars

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on May 13, 2011
Again celestron is surprising with amazing quality in absolute affordable price. I had a celestron Outland 8x42 binocular first, but it somehow started to fog from inside in the left lenses, maybe because I droped and beat it too much in the field, so the seal that keeps the Nitrogen inside it broke. As I realy enjoyed the Outland optical quality I gave celestron another try, but this time I looked for a binocular model with a "No Fault Lifetime Guarantee", and then I found those Celestron Nature series. They are more expensive than the Outland of course, but you can have a new binocular no matter how you managed to "destroy" it, just paying the shipping taxes and about 25U$ for them to analyse your binocular and send you a new one. For me it's quite fair, thinking that some more expensive binoculars with lifetime guarante are "free" to get a new one, but you pay 5x or more to buy the first one.
By the way, when I had this Nature Series in my hands I compared it to my old Outland, and the images in the Nature Series were far better, both in definition and brightness. The Fully Multi-coated lenses (against the Outland's Multi-coated) realy made the difference. The minimum focus distance is something between 2,5 and 2,8m, what impressed me and make the Nature series even better for Birdwatching.
The only thing that this binoculars misses is the Phase correction. I had the oportunity to compare it to the famous and beloved Nikon Monarch ATB 8x42, wich is one of the favorite ...
