The Little Scope That Could

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on October 18, 2007
I bought this telescope to try out the SkyAlign computer system. The NexStar computer with SkyAlign works very well when I remember to enter the day and time correctly. Experienced users will like the fact that several alignment modes are available, and some of them are even quicker and easier than SkyAlign.

Another bonus is the NexStar SLT mount which can be used with other telescopes. I used my C5 telescope on this mount with no problem. I've used the computerized tracking to take pictures of the moon and planets, both with the NexStar 60 SLT refractor and my own C5 SCT.

Bottom line: the SkyAlign computer really works, and the tracking allows me to see more detail in the moon and planets.

Pros: SkyAlign for a bargain price.
Cons: A 60mm scope is too small for deep space....
Would recommend: Yes
