I ordered this along with the Omni XLT 150 Reflector to help get an accurate polar alignment. It would indeed make it very easy and fast to setup and align the mount ... if I could use it. I soon discovered it was designed for the CG-5 mount ... not the CG-4 as stated on the website. A quick check of Celestron's site revealed the CG-4 mount requires a model #94223 Polar Axis Finder. Not #94224. I called OpticsPlanet to inquire about exchanging it only to discover they did not carry the proper one for the CG-4. They issued an RMA # and I returned it for a refund. No hassle at all. I found the proper model #94223 scope at another website and am now waiting for it to arrive. Hopefully this will soon be corrected on their website to prevent anyone else from having to return one.

This finderscope is quite difficult to use, since it is not illuminated. I was unaware of the difficulty this would cause, or I would have re-considered the purchase. I got around this by shining a penlight off-axis down the finderscope opening, allowing the reticle to be visible alon with polaris. Celestron should reconsider the design of this item.
