I ordered the reducer /corrector for my Celestron 8" se . I'm glad I did . It widens the field , creates a clearer image , improving my eyepieces . The background becomes darker and objects sharper and brighter . It screws right on the back of my SCT and only adds about 3/4 " in length . I had planned to swap back and forth with it , but found I enjoyed the views much more with it attached . Enjoy .
