It took awhile for me to figure out how to maneuver its mechanics for optimal functioning, but after I succeeded, I was quite pleased with the product. The only problem I have is the light provided with the microscope: a little intense and unrefined; if left on too long, it can overheat and might actually wind up frying the more sensitive specimen. But otherwise, its a great deal for the price. More advanced microscopists might prefer something slightly more sophisticated, though. But for the amateur, anywhere up to a collegiate level, this one might suffice quite nicely.
