Great High School Microscope

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on December 27, 2013
This is an excellent choice for beginner in using microscope. Not too expansive but it has a lot of advance features, includes microstaging and also dual speed focuser. It has all the features of profressional microscope, except the eyepiece and objective which can be upgraded for better peformance. Overall it's a nice grab for school children and teenagers
Pros: Good Quality
Cons: Better Eyepiece Is Recommended...

This microscope is great. It has all the features of higher end microscope, includes able condenser, microstaging, and due stage focuser. Full metal construction making to be lasting. A bit soft on high magnification, but I guess for the price can't expect a Nikon microscope peformance. Overall it is a good microscope...

Good for amateur microscopists

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, CA Written on November 3, 2008
I've wanted a microscope for years, but never having the economic means to purchase a quality one dampened my inclination in purchasing one. This microscope is great. It took awhile for me to figure out how to maneuver its mechanics for optimal functioning, but after I succeeded, I was quite pleased with the product. The only problem I have is the light provided with the microscope: a little intense and unrefined; if left on too long, it can overheat and might actually wind up frying the more sensitive specimen. But otherwise, its a great deal for the price. More advanced microscopists might prefer something slightly more sophisticated, though. But for the amateur, anywhere up to a collegiate level, this one might suffice quite nicely....
