purchased this for my son (8yrs) and myself... the first night it was set up we were able to locate saturn and see its rings and the shadow of the rings on the planet - very cool. great tripod, clear viewing. my only grip is that some of the mounts areas or movements are a little loose - and wish it was ship in something that could be used while traveling... for the price it is very good and recommend it. going to purchase a barlow, moon and a couple of other eyepieces...
