Pros:  Price, ease of use
Cons:  Buttons on back, no springiness in panel-holding tabs
Would recommend:  yes

I bought two and they both read the same temp, so they are at least consistent. I have not checked the accuracy. The display is large and crisp. The unit is barely larger than its display, so it is space-efficient. This item has three operating buttons on the back; none on the front. But if you panel-mount it, you won't be able to reach the buttons on the back unless you reach behind the panel. Also has a suction cup on back, which can be pulled off if not desired. Button 1 is on/off. Button 2 is degF/degC. Button 3 is max/min. Simple to operate; unit always powers-up in degC. Unit has tabs on left and right sides that look like the springy tabs for snapping unit into a rectangular panel opening. However, these tabs are rigid, not springy, so the unit will likely be loose in the panel. I think the maker copied the appearance of these tabs, but he didn't understand their function. I am a mechanical engineer.
