The moral of the story...BUY ONE SIZE BIGGER! The velco on this thing goes all the way around to the back so you're not going to have any slack hanging off; further, this lets you just fold the belt RIGHT OVER the first belt loop on your pants and press down to secure. If the excess goes past your holster area, it makes the belt that much more sturdy, and finally, if you really do need to rappell from that helicopter, eight or ten inches of secured velcro are going to support your weight better than three. I like the belt...just wish I'd gotten the next larger size...learn it, know it, ...

Cons:  After seven years of nearly everyday use, the velcro wore out
