Very poor fit to the frame...

by Honest Reviewer, from United States, AL Written on March 10, 2015
I've already got a Crimson Trace Laserguard on my Ruger LCP and Kahr P380. So this Laserguard for my Kahr PM9 is my third one. The first two Laserguard on my .380 pistols are just wonderful. They were easy to install and fit perfectly.

This Laserguard for PM9, however, is NOT as good in terms of the fit. The two halves of the plastic frame are warped due to poor molding. As the result, they do not fit the gun's trigger guard as they should leaving a huge gap between the two halves. Even if you force them to be put on the trigger guard, you still cannot close the two halves with the two screws.

I had to file and sand inside rail and also use my heat gun to fit the two halves. After a couple of hours of struggle, the whole thing is secure finally, and it is working. But I can still see a small gab between the two halves that I don't see with other two Laserguards....

I'm a big fan of CT Laserguard, but until Crimson Trace rectify the fitness issue of this particular model, I will NOT recommend it to others....
Pros:
  • Ease of aim
Cons:
  • Very poor fit
Best Used for:
  • Defensive Weapon

Excellent for concealed carry. Very highly recommended. This product allows you to get on target very quickly. It also allows you to have follow-up shots on multiple targets if necessary. The adjustment screws are easy to use to set up for accuracy. I highly recommend Crimson trace laser's for handgun personal defense...

No Surprises

by Steve, from United States, CA Written on January 30, 2015
Great fit. Unlike the competing products I considered, this unit melds with the gun and looks like it belongs. Works reliably and is a "must have" for older folks with aging eyes who want an edge if the stuff hits the propeller...

Trusted Laser

by Benaiah, from United States, CO Written on December 15, 2014
I've had this laser on my CM9 for two years. Installation was straight forward and simple. It only needed minor adjustments of windage and elevation. It has worked perfectly holding zero after several hundred rounds. I have had no problems with the laser to date....

Crimson Trace + Super Fly Holster for Kahr PM9

by Bob, from United States, OH Written on October 25, 2014
This is the exact package to upgrade my Kahr PM9 for self defense. Like others I constantly try to improve my equipment to be able to successfully stop an eminent danger with a concealed weapon. The holster provides excellent concealment and a easy draw. The laser sights enable a rapid accurate aim and shot placement inside 20 feet. I would recommend this package to anyone who finds the PM9 a fit selection....
Pros:
  • Excellent concealment
  • Easy draw
  • Rapid accurate aim and shot placement
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • concealed carry

Best of class

by ejwoolz, from United States, AZ Written on October 13, 2014
If you're a fan of idiot proofing, this is the laser for you. The "auto activation" when you squeeze the grip is far better in a panic situation than having to activate the laser with your index finger like the others. This is not prone to accidental pocket activation and the subsequent dead batteries of some of the other units....

Worked for 5 minutes

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, WA Written on December 4, 2013
I got this thing in the mail and was excited to go out shooting over the Thanksgiving holiday. Before putting it on the gun, I put in the battery and pointed it at the floor, nice bright red dot. My kids tried to pounce on it like Cats on Youtube, so I humored them for a few minutes and then it started to fade out. I removed the battery and put it back in and it worked for a few seconds then faded out again. I figured it was a bad battery. Broke out the volt meter and it was 2.9 Volts. That should still work. I emailed CT Customer Service and waited a few days, after not getting a response I went and bought new batteries, still no luck. I'm pretty disappointed that something this expensive failed so quickly. I haven't heard back from Crimson Trace yet, granted I emailed then on Thanksgiving, but 6 days later, still no response.
Pros: Nice smooth integration with gun
Cons: Only worked for 5 minutes....

What the doctor ordered...

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, KY Written on August 18, 2013
Crimson Trace products are well-designed and well-made. I have several CT lasers besides this one -- and they all work well. I had one CT laser for a new Ruger LCP which had a switch problem, and the CT people replaced the unit, with a very quick turn-around and free shipping.
Pros: I use primarily for dry-fire exercises, and the CT laser fits the gun well and is easy to adjust.
Cons: None...
