Good fit for large hands, but too smooth

by djm371, from United States, WA Written on February 12, 2015
Excellent quality and function typical of Crimson Trace products. Set-up and installation could not be any easier. The unit works with every holster I have for the gun (IWB, OWB and ankle holsters). The laser unit locates about where a 1911 thumb safety would be (right side) and is no bigger than a thumb safety would be. The instructions say the laser has been sighted for 50 feet and mine was absolutely correct. I'm very happy with the product, but I have 1 issue and a comment:
Issue - the surface of the Lasergrip is very smooth. No texturing whatsoever. I feel strongly that this is a problem that needs to be addressed, and is the reason for the 4 star rating vice 5 stars.
Comment - I have large hands; I had been alternating between the medium and large backstrap provided by Glock. The CT replaces the Glock backstraps and the grip fits my hand very well; it provides a fuller - not longer palmswell that does not interfere with the finger grip at all - they really did their homework on this. That said, someone with smaller hands who wouldn't normally add a backstrap might have a fit issue....
Pros:
  • easy installation
  • Free Batteries for life
  • Installation and adjustment tools provided
  • Excellent holster fit
  • Excellent quality and function
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • concealed carry
  • Every Day Carry

Another great product from Crimson Trace

by MarkMarz, from United States, WI Written on December 9, 2014
Installation took all of 5 minutes. Fit up was great and it looks like it is part of the gun instead of an accessory that was added on. Made the gun a bit wider, but it does not interfere with the holsters that I already bought....
Pros:
  • Quality
  • improved accuracy
  • reputation
Cons:
  • expensive but worth it
Best Used for:
  • Self defense
  • Home Defense
  • Target shooting out to 25 yards

Crimson Trace LaserGrip for Glock 23 4th Gen

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, VA Written on April 12, 2013
Received the order quicker than expected. installtion was faily easy but you need to make sure everything stays on place, i.e. batteries, when installing to the grip. Tested for accuracy and at 50 feet it was close to being dead on. As the target gets closer the beam moves to the right, almost 2 inches at 25 feet, and when the target is further away the beam moves to the left, approximately 2 inches at 75 feet. This needs to be taken into consideration when targeting the side mounted laser. I like to ability to be able to turn the laser on and off, especially when targeting. I was able to alternate relying on the eye first, then the laser as a backup. All-in-all a very good product that I would recommend to anyone.
Pros: Easy Setup, Fits my Glock 23 like it was and original part; Accurate,
Cons: Had to made some modifications to a couple holsters to accommodate the LaserGrip ...

Crimson Trace for Gen 4 G27

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, PA Written on July 27, 2012
Purchased the Ct grips for my Gen 4 Glock 27. Install took only about 5 minutes and it is right on target on 15 yards. The Ct grips on the Gen 4 feel to have a small beaver-tail feel like a 1911, even better the the Gen 3 CT grips. They feel super comfortable to hold for unsupported, one-handed shots. If a red haired pyscho attempts to ruin a day for me or my family, I only need one shot!
Pros: Easy of installation and use
Cons: Tough to see in bright daylight, but I already knew that....

Crimson Trace Glock 26 Gen 4

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, WA Written on July 12, 2012
Does not fit generation 3 or older models. A perfect fit for gen 4 pistols. Adjustment screws for windage and elevation do not have positive clicks and can be cantankerous to adjust. Other than that this is a quality item, I would buy again.
Pros: Uncomplicated installation
Cons: Zero adjustment could be better...
