nice laser

by TAZ, from United States, IL Written on March 12, 2015
Purchased this grip laser and glad I did. Because it is on the grip there is no cumbersome rail light and no weight on the tip of my Beretta 92. Very easy to install and immediately all my range friends enjoyed it. Very comfortable and accurate. I haven't ran the battery down so I don't know what the draining time is.
I thought it was a little pricey but once I installed it and used, I found I was glad I purchased it. Strong light....
Pros:
  • light weight, easy operating button
Cons:
  • A little pricey but worth it

Mil-spec Crimson Trace for Beretta 92F

by Bigdawg, from United States, VA Written on February 1, 2015
This is a great product! I already own several that I have on other hand guns, but this is my first mil-spec model. I was looking for a way to increase accuracy in low light conditions for my old man eyes and this laser grip is the ticket. My Beretta 92F has non removable fixed sights, so tritium night sights were not an option. With the last grip, I can still use my holsters without having to purchase new ones to accommodate the laser. The laser operation is the most intuitive of any laser I own. Did I mention this thing is waterproof and extremely tough? Great product and speedy delivery from Optics Planet!...

Crimson Trace Laser Grip for Berretta 92

by Mack, from United States, FL Written on December 23, 2014
Simply stated, this is a great product that is easy to install, works as promised, is of high quality and a good value if you are looking for a laser grip. The laser is bright enough to see in the daylight, is easy to align with the gun sites and stays on target after multiple rounds. I am shooting 40 cal high velocity rounds and the laser remains sighted (the bullet goes where the laser is pointing) repeatedly. The grip does not interfere with the holster and the increase in grip width is not a factor in gun handling, siting or during discharge. Actually, the grip improves gun control over the factory grips I removed. I was looking for such a laser for personal defense and after much research and reading product reviews purchased the Crimson trace. I am so impressed, I purchased one for my wife's Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm and she loves it!!...
Pros:
  • High quality materials
  • Easy to install, accurate and reliable
  • improves gun control
Cons:
  • None.
Best Used for:
  • self defense, target shooting

Only for Large Grips

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, CO Written on November 3, 2013
This product is not intended for the 92 SB. Neither of the CT grips for the 92's say they are for it or not.

Regardless, the box for this one says "For Beretta 92 and 96 large frame, including the Centurion, Elite !! and Brigadier." If that was include in the details of this product, I could have probably deducted that it would not fit mine.

This grip seemed well made, well packaged & well designed. I have no idea how water resident if at all this is nor how well it handles the concussion of firing.
Pros: free batteries for life coupon in box
Cons: Not for the gun I have "92 SB"...

Great Investment for effective self-defense

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, CA Written on October 25, 2013
Nothing better for quick point and shoot and hitting center mass consistently. Great position for the button on the grip and easy operation. Very easy to sight in using only the gun's the iron sights. However, for real accuracy, I would recommend using a "Sight Mark" Laser Bore Sight (I purchased from "OpticsPlanet") to really zero the laser perfectly to your point of aim. The grip material is rugged and seemingly indestructible - and has a much better feel than the Beretta factory grips of either the U.S. or Italian made 92/96 series 9mm or .40 (plastic or rubber). It allows you to remain perfectly on target while still being able to keep your vision working away from your target for continual threat assessment - a real world plus - instead of focusing on sight alignment. Reliably permitted one inch groups of ten rounds fired at one second intervals in the 10 ring at 50 feet...great in either day or night conditions. A great investment for the serious self-defense shooter.
Pros: Easy, quick installation. Superbly designed and made.
Cons: If you have a big, fat hand, your trigger finger can block the laser beam when finger is held in a safe position alongside the frame above the trigger guard....

Vastly Improved

These look like factory issued grips. They do add a little width to the grip area but I have big hands so this is a plus for me. Installation is a snap. 4 screws to remove old grip panels and 4 screws to tighten these on the pistol. If you can't make it to the range after installing your new CTG just use the little hex wrench and move the red dot to match your iron sights. I did this, went to the range, and I was dead on at 15 yards with my 9mm. I've had the LG 402 on my weapon for over a year now and it looks like new.
Pros: Activation, installation, bright red dot.
Cons: None...
