3rd time is a charm, I hope

by Mike, from United States, NC Written on March 31, 2015
First one did not work but one time, second one worked a few times,I requested Optic Planet check the 3rd replacement unit to make sure it works. So far so good.. I wanted one that did not have to be turned on and off as you will notice the life span of the tiny little battery that runs these things is based on hours used. So if you turn it on and leave it on, you will be buying replacement batteries a lot sooner. With the grip type it only turns on as long as I hold the button down. Aim grip and shoot. Happy shooting to all and be extra safe with your weapons....

Pros:
  • Lightweight, easy to use and spot on with minimal adjustments out of box
Cons:
  • None.

Crimson Trace is the Best

by Babyfox, from United States, MI Written on March 4, 2015
Have four various pistols. All new since 2013. Have added Crimson Trace Laser sights to all four. Having poor close up vision, I cannot see the sights on my guns without corrective glasses. So, if I use corrective glasses to see my sights, I can't focus on the target. Using the Crimson Trace Laser gets rid of these problems. From a self defense viewpoint, there is no better way to spot your target than Laser. You can be laying on the ground with your assailant out of the sight. That red dot doesn't need eye to sight for accuracy. Squeeze the hand grip, laser lights up point and shoot. Within legal self defense distance (21to 24 feet) my Ruger will hold a pattern inside of a 2 inch diameter consistently. There is no better way....

Crimson Trace Laser for Ruger SR9C

by Redbird, from United States, TN Written on February 18, 2015
It fit perfect on my Ruger SR9c and was very easy to put on. I really like the fact that with the Crimson Trace laser, when I pick the gun up, I can turn the laser off and on so easily. Really makes me feel like a very confident shooter! I wish I could afford to put a Crimson Trace laser on all my hand guns. That is one of my goals....
Pros:
  • easy to zero and to operate
Cons:
  • cost
Best Used for:
  • Self-defense, sport, novelty

Good Laser

by Vin Man, from United States, MA Written on January 15, 2015
Great laser, took 2 mins to set up and was on point right out of the box, have used it through about 100 rounds so far and have not had to adjust laser at all. The laser turns on with a normal grip of the gun you don't have to squeeze it hard at all. its not bulky and keeps the gun sleek and light weight. I would recommend to any buddy that wants a laser for the SR9C....
Pros:
  • light weight
  • EASY INSTALL
  • sleek
  • easy activation of laser
  • stays on zero
Cons:
  • no on/off switch
Best Used for:
  • anything

Great product, point, shoot, go. No questions.

by Captbb, from United States, GA Written on September 16, 2014
At first I was put off by the front activation button. Thought it might be a problem. Not so!!!! Quickly found that the laser was dead on and the front activation button put my shooting hand in position for a correct trigger pull. Where you see the red dot is where the bullet is going to hit. New to the sport,I had to relearn my shooting skills. Inproved my hand eye cooridnation drastically. Crimson trace has a free battery for life policy. How can you not like that.
I would recommend this product to novices as well as veterans. The product just works....
Pros:
  • Awesome website & product
Cons:
  • None yet!
Best Used for:
  • Putting holes where you're aiming

Fits like a glove, comes on without thinking

by Setholic, from United States, CA Written on August 15, 2014
The LG-449 fits perfectly on the SR9C. Doesn't interfere with the grip and the laser comes on with your normal grip. NO thinking needed, just grip the gun as normal and the laser is firing away on target. It is easy to adjust and holds a zero after firing 100s of rounds. Very compact design so it doesn't take up much space, still can conceal carry without any issues....
Pros:
  • light
  • Holds zero
  • easy of use
  • instictively on
Cons:
  • expensive but worth it
