Great product, point, shoot, go. No questions.

by CaptBB, from United States, GA Written on September 16, 2014
At first I was put off by the front activation button. Thought it might be a problem. Not so!!!! Quickly found that the laser was dead on and the front activation button put my shooting hand in position for a correct trigger pull. Where you see the red dot is where the bullet is going to hit. New to the sport,I had to relearn my shooting skills. Inproved my hand eye cooridnation drastically. Crimson trace has a free battery for life policy. How can you not like that.
I would recommend this product to novices as well as veterans. The product just works....
Pros:
  • Awesome website & product
Cons:
  • None yet!
Best Used for:
  • Putting holes where you're aiming

Fits like a glove, comes on without thinking

by Setholic, from United States, CA Written on August 15, 2014
The LG-449 fits perfectly on the SR9C. Doesn't interfere with the grip and the laser comes on with your normal grip. NO thinking needed, just grip the gun as normal and the laser is firing away on target. It is easy to adjust and holds a zero after firing 100s of rounds. Very compact design so it doesn't take up much space, still can conceal carry without any issues....
Pros:
  • light
  • Holds zero
  • easy of use
  • instictively on
Cons:
  • expensive but worth it

Crimson Trace

by Herb, from United States, PA Written on July 30, 2014
The Crimson Trace laser seems to work just fine in morning light and darker. Very easy to install. The laser comes on when you grip your pistol correctly - no extra fumbling with an extra button. Also helps you see if you are "pressing" the trigger correctly or pulling the gun down and or to one side. The main problem I have had is that not everybody makes a holster for the SR9C with a CT laser attached. I bought a Blade Tech holster through CT since I could not find any elsewhere. What a crappy holster. Slots are for 1 3/4" belts and has a worthless piece that is suppose to reduce the slot size to 1.5". The holster rides up on the draw, the retention screws don't work very well and the gun sticks out for any observant person to know you are carrying.

I would recommend the Crimson Trace laser if you feel you really need a laser. I'd be happy to sell mine because of the holster problem....
Pros:
  • Easy to assemble/install; easy to activate under pressure;
Cons:
  • None

Always on when you need it, easy to use

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on February 7, 2014
With a proper pistol grip this laser will always be on when you draw on a target. Easy to zero and the battery last a long time. Very bright laser works well in daylight and out doors at 7m or less range. trying to alter your grip so the laser doesn't come on can be tricky. I definitely recommend.
Pros: long battery life, easy to zero, durable, instinctively on
Cons: Hard not to turn on when you don't want it on...

Great while it lasted!

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, IN Written on October 12, 2012
I received the LG-449 for my new Ruger SR9C and easily attached it in a snap. The unit was very close to being on, but did need a small amount of adjusting. The next day I went out and played around firing my new toy and was impressed with the bright laser. A laser certainly shows how much you are moving around on the target! My shooting buddy was making fun of my small movements until I handed the gun to him! After shooting I walked in the house and notice the laser was not turning on now, it was completely dead. Now I am waiting to see how quickly I can get the Laserguard repaired/replaced. Certainly doesn't give one a warm and fuzzy feeling if these units just stop working for no reason. I will update this post when the problem is solved.
Pros: Easy install and to adjust. Bright laser
Cons: Died after first outing...

Its is great for first shooters

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, PA Written on July 23, 2012
Lost a screw, Called Crimson, and they are in the mail, No question asked
" free"! After removing to clean the gun and putting it back on, Its still dead on even after 10 - cleanings! No resighting! Now this hold true for both of the laser we bought for two SR9c. Even shooting at 30 yards.
Laser is only on if you are ready to shoot.
Cons; I can't think of any!
I think I would buy again with the holster just in case you wanted to carry it on person or at range! For the 10 bucks.
Pros: Teaches you to squeeze the trigger...
