The Rosewood grain, the finish and the workmanship reflect the level you'd expect in wood grips in this price range (irrespective of the inclusion of a laser). The fit on my two 1911 Bobtailed Commander style pistols was precise: one was an Ed Brown custom and the other was a S&W911 SC E-series. The angular 'bobtail' cut of the CT's matches the profile of the stock Ed Brown grips; some might take a few minutes - and simple wood working equipment - to put a more rounded contour on the lower rear edge of the grip panels if they choose to duplicate the profile of S&W grip panels. I don't think I'll bother as they look fine as they are on my S&W. I'll be getting another pair for the Ed Brown shortly.
