Great pocket carry everyday use

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on July 14, 2013
This knife is exactly what I wanted as an upgrade to my K.I.S.S. tanto. The thin design and wide clip, for money or pockets, is great. I was not impressed by the carbon fiber sticker. I have carried and used this knife everyday for 3 months and not cut myself, opening or by previously mentioned "exposed" edges?? It has a learning curve. Be sure to read the instructions and practice!! For the price, I am 100% satisfied with this knife.
Pros: This and light
Cons: Carbon fiber "sticker"...

Good and bad

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on July 10, 2013
The knife is solid, well made and sharp. But at times, is hard to open and easy to cut yourself while opening. Also, while closed and in your pocket, if you put your hand in your pocket, the exposed part of the blade can cut you. I did and it did. I will try to sell it.
Pros: Solid Construction
Cons: Hard to open...

CRKT KISS Assist knife

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on July 6, 2013
I didn't realize this knife does not have scales on both sides. I don't think it is suitable for everyday carry you will cut yourself or whatever is in your pocket.
The mechanism was poor making opening difficult and it doesn't lock open reliably.
I wouldn't recommend this knife; spend the extra and get a Benchmade assisted opening knife.

Pros: None
Cons: There are only scales on one side and the blade is partially exposed when closed. Does not lock open reliable. Unlock mechanism is not great or easy to use one handed. ...

CRKT K.I.S.S. ASSist knife model 5650

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, VA Written on June 12, 2013
I was totally disappointed with this purchase. I thought I was purchasing a high quality general utility pocket knife. I really don't know what this knife is designed to do. The materials and construction are high quality. Having said this, the knife is difficult (and in my opinion dangerous) to open. The blade is sharpened in a way that the edge is tapered on only one side. I think this was done to avoid a cutting hazzard since the sharp edge is somewhat exposed when the knife is closed.

I'm no expert and maybe this knife has some special use but it's not what I thought I was buying
Cons: Difficult to open. Blade tapered on only one side. ...
