This holster is the standard undercover holster issued to I.C.E. Agents for the Sig 229. When we first received them there was mixed reviews for the agents. Some were grateful just to have a new holster while other more seasoned agents like myself knew that this holster was not practical. The craftsmanship is quite beautiful and the leather quality and stitching is top notch. The bad news is that the leather is very thick and heavy and after several months the holster refused to break in. Also the angle interferes with the mag pouch that I prefer to wear on my strong side.
I ended up purchasing BlackHawk SERPA holsters for our entire office and the agents love them. They are not as concealable but are much more practical. I have no desire to carry my Sig 229 off duty anyway. For concealed or off duty carry most of us carry a Glock 26 with either a Galco leg holster or Galco Silhouette High Ride Holster. In my opinion Galco makes a superior holster and if you must have a high ride angled holster I would go with Galco.
Pros: Nice crafsmanship.
Cons: Heavy and impossible to break in....
Would recommend: No
