Light, awesome setup for a primary entry sight, and great for a close fight backup. Stands up to the rigors of running the battle field getting jarred and wacked hard, and nasty conditions of heat, dust, and blowing sand.

Extremely lightweight, very good quality. Removing from the weapon to replace batteries is a little inconvenient, but rarely need changing so it's okay.

Potentially nice sight with problems

A potentially great sight that has been poorly implemented and is lacking in product support. I have four that I have used for Bullseye shooting light target loads at a 50ft range. One had a solder weld break under warranty after a couple months use on a target 45. The Dr Sight US repair center said it would take a couple weeks. After a dozen calls and continual responses saying it would be sent next week to next day it finally arrived about 5 months later. Another that I've had on a target 22 for a couple years just died for some unknown reason. The Parallax free claims to 40 yards are not true and all four have noticeable parallax. The mounting screws on all four sights come loose easily until you use the mild blue loc-tite and can still eventually work loose shooting light loaded 45's. Unfortunately the mounting screw's Allen head holes are tiny and strip easily when mild loc-tite is used to hold them. Despite being careful I've had to have a gunsmith drill out the screws on four ...

Docter optic 3.5MOA

Author: Mike {!} , Im a 13B us army active duty., from Elkhart lake WI on Jul 25, 2007
Pros:  This sight is very small, light, and works very well. The sight is always on, and comes with a cover you have to place over it to turn it off because of a dimmer switch in it. The sight automaticly changes brightness to the level of lighting your in.
Cons:  The optic needs a battery, the battery is located in the bottom of the sight. You will have to remove it from the weapon to replace the battery. It is attached to the mount by two screws.
Would recommend:  yes

This is an awesome sight if you have a back up or are mounting it to the side or on top of another scope. It uses batterys which will burn out sooner or later and I dont know what kind of a beating it can take so I personaly wouldent use it as my only sight on a weapon.
