I keep this flashlight in my hunting pack because it is small, lightweight and has a large, bright light field. It also has a dimming feature which allows you to save battery strength when you don't need the full light. I ruined the first one I owned by leaving the batteries in it when I stored it at the end of hunting season. The batteries leaked and ruined both the contacts on the inside as well as the battery cartridge. Ditch the old-fashioned clunker with the huge battery! This flashlight uses less expensive batteries. It is small, very bright, and is a great value for the money.
Pros: very portable, bright for it's size, dimming feature
Cons: uses six AAA batteries...
