You Get What You Pay For

I never thought I would spend this much on a bag (although OpticsPlanet had it for the best price I could find) but boy was it worth the price and the wait! Solid construction. It is likely to last me a lifetime.
Pros: Quality Construction
Cons: Price and Availability...

Eagle Industries Escape & Evasion Bag

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, MA Written on August 4, 2010
I couldnt find a single source of measurements when i went looking for this bag so i thought I'd post them when I got this bag:
Overall: 18W X 9.5T x 8D
Main pocket is:
12W X 9.5T X 5D
Front pocket is:
12W X 9.5T X 3D
Hidden pocket on Back of bag is lined full length both sides for velcro backed carry items.
Inside Main compartment is Velcro sealed, but not velcro lined - A mistake in my opinion. Also the back of the main compartment is padded. I would have prefered to put the padding on the outside of the hidden pocket instead to keep your carry gear from printing or poking you, the Velcro sort of does this but I'm being picky. Canteen pockets on both sides hold a Nalgene, but cant be closed with them in the pockets. Pockets seem sized for a military canteen - not the normal carry ite for a "grey bag" - Resize the pockets to fit a 32 oz Nalgene.
One last comment - Hidden rear carry pocket needs a pull tab for quick access. I added my own to block the velcro from sealing (Just a length of hook) but for the money this should be included. I also think including a length of hook to keep the interior hidden pocket open should be an included item as to be user selectable. My last gripe: Increase the size of the velcro area on the front. My opinion it should be at least twice the current height of 1.5 inches (why 1.5? I think 4 inches would be ideal).

A user deployable waterproof flap to cover the open zippers on top would also be a nice feature.

Overall I'm happy wit...
