Good but pricy

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on January 12, 2014
Solid bag and the higher weight would ordinarily be a negative is an indicator of how strong this bag is. There are many customizations to keep the load stable as you move but the Velcro strips keep the many straps neatly tied, nice addition. The rifle scabbard is great and is a feature that I haven't seen any where else. The only down side is that it is a bit pricy.
Pros: Solid, many customizations
Cons: Price...

Very well thought-out bacckpack

by Legacy Reviewer, Written on September 22, 2013
This is my first Eberlestock pack, and it's very impressive. After purchasing a very long rifle, it seemed that a drag-bag was the only option for carry and storage. This backpack gives me the option to carry my gear, as well as the rifle. Tons of Molle to attach items to the outside, as well as inside. If you choose, there are also a couple of pockets inside to accommodate a pair of 3-liter water reservoirs. It's very well thought-out, and is durable beyond my needs. It also comes in Multicam, which was a contributing factor of the purchase.
I've taken this out for a full day on our deer-camp and put it through its paces. The harness adjustment allows the pack to be carried in a higher or lower position and is comfortable considering my particular load of weight. The compression capability is really fantastic, as well. For me, placing the rifle butt-down made it easier for me to distribute weight. Also, using the pockets and Molle on the interior helped with that. Apparently, this pack has the ability to hold much more than I could possibly carry.
Overall, my expectations were exceeded. This pack turned out to be a great investment. The price was justifiable considering the cost of a quality drag-bag. And, I don't see ever being able to wear this thing out. If you have any reservations about the backpack, I have yet to find anything negative about it. It's a very well thought-out pack. Again, happy about the Multicam availability. And, I look forward to u...

G2MM: Eberlestock G2M Gunslinger II Military Pack, Multicam G2MM

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, TX Written on September 20, 2013
Gunslinger II replaces Lo-Drag Multi-Cam pack used previously. Gunslinger II has rigid metal frame adding to load capacity and durability. Adequate space for packing in gun, ammo, Kestral, GPS, maps, camera, rangefinder, communication gear, extra batteries, spotting scope, food, water filtration, first aid kit, dry clothes, extraneous gear and packing out prime elk parts. Plenty of external attachment points/options to carry sleeping bag, ground pad, axe, handgun, water. Adapts well to all load requirements up to max capacity.
Pros: Rugged, durable, well-designed, intergal weather-resistant scabbord holds 'big' long range weapons with tactical scope, generous storage volume, external attachment system, easily adaptable to either big or small loads.
Cons: Can't get in ATACS camo pattern, could use enhanced padding at load bearing points....

Great pack!

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, MD Written on June 30, 2013
This pack is amazing. It'll adjust to exactly fit you and your load. I bought it for a Saskatchewan black bear hunt. It will easily carry two scoped hunting rifles; and on one occasion I had three scoped hunting rifles stuffed in there (I carried gear, the others dragged the bear out). On other occasions I've used the section that is designed for rifles to carry extra gear, but that is not needed too much since the normal gear carry capacity expands to allow you to carry a *lot* of stuff! I've carried a lot of packs, backpacks too, and I've never had a pack that carries so well and fits so nice. Worth the $$$! Amazing...
Pros: Versatility, carry capacity, looks cool walking through an airport....

Great pack but a little pricy

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on May 14, 2013
pack easilly fixed up for different heights etc. and can carry what seems like full kit, but only used it so far for day or so ruck. Durable stitching and MOLLE rows all over the spine of it. Time will tell real durability of it. Cursory glance seems to be pretty decent.
Pros: Adjustable durable and feels good loaded up
Cons: Cost is a little bit high ...

Great piece of kit!

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, CA Written on April 19, 2013
I have used many packs, drag bags in my career. This one meets all of my needs from the smallest op to the unknown. Using the compression straps, I can easily vary the size of my loadout and still not have gear(including my bolt gun) sloshing around. Great pack!
Pros: Ergonomics, usability, construction and much more
Cons: have not found any yet!...
