Eberlestock Sniper Sled Drag Bag

by Long Range Ping, from United States, VA Written on October 11, 2014
This one is hard to put a rating on because there are good pros and not so good cons so one really needs to think long and about how they are going to use it. First the pros:
The Bag is high quality material and put together very well. Lots of molly loops and good handles. Zips up tightly so loose items wont fall out or stuff get in. Mounts like a backpack. Very adjustable and rides well when carrying it on the back. The camo matches my other multi-cam products perfectly. It has lots of storage capability in the attached bags which are removable and it has extra storage pockets on the interior which proved handy for notebooks. The interior straps secures the rifles very well. If you tie this thing to your waist and tow it behind you on the ground, the rifle will be protected so as a drag bag it gets an A. Now for the cons:

When those bags are attached, it cannot lay flay, (obviously) so one finds themselves laying in weird positions. As a shooting mat, it gets a D. A person may find themselves sheading the external storage bags for this reason alone. Also, one may find themselves forgetting to zip them all closed when jumping up to relocate so the system is not conducive to quick deploy and redeploy. If you have an AR platform, this bag is just way too long and you will not like it. However, it holds a decked out bolt gun nicely. The bag by itself, empty, is just too heavy for my taste. If your humping around a 30+ lb 50BMG, this bag will certainly do the task and to be f...

Eberlestock Sniper Sled Drag bag review

by ghost warrior, from United States, OK Written on September 3, 2014
I have several Eberlestock products and have always been 100% happy with each one. The quality and innovative designs never disappoint. This particular item is superb. I have several different brand drag bags including Barrett and I must say the Eberlestock is hands down the best. It has a strong level of versatility and adjustment to function and is very well made. It has the best built in padding protection for your weapons system yet is not overly bulky or heavy. The quality of materials is also the best I have found to date. At this point I would never buy another brands drag bag when I need a versatile soft weapons storage....

  • well made

Great bag.
The fold out to use as a mat isn't great as the exterior pouches make it not lay flat so the width usable as a mat is narrow. Even with that the best bag I have used by far. Will likely go eberlestock exclusively from now on.
Pros: Great build
Cons: Price, and mat function...

You cannot beat quality of this bag.
I will be purchasing one of their backpacks.
OpticsPlanet's customer service is the BEST and they are my "GO-TO" supplier.
Pros: Great zippers, many pockets both inside and out. Straps and buckles are very sturdy and rifle support straps have protectors so the guns finish is not scratched. Overall great construction.
Cons: A bit pricey. Does not easily fit a 51" rifle....
