I spent 20 years in the machine shop and so I fail to see the value in spending 3 times as much for a rail from some high end optics manufacturer that is absolutely no better (except maybe the inclusion of a recoil lug). I've used a few EGW rails and I find the machining to be accurate and the materials and finish quite good.

My rail had a slight gap in the bottom rear base when I installed it, but a little JB weld took care of it easily. The rail would have been perfect if it had a recoil lug, but for the price, I can't complain.

This is the best rail for my Rem 700 that I could have purchased for the price. It has all the features I wanted, and is less than half the price for the "name brand" rails. It installed easily with all the required screws, and instructions that came with it. I'd recommend this to anyone needing a 20MOA rail for their 700.
