This holster is great and I use it for my S&W 586 6" L-Frame. I was skeptical about using a holster with a side strap, as I'm used to defensive-type holster with thumb breaks, but it proves to be able to present the pistol quickly and without the need for fine motor skills. The holster rides at a nice height, particularly for a 6" revolver frame. The portion of the holster that your belt goes through is a bit narrow (I use 1-3/4" belts), and is a bit skinny in that it doesn't "spread" across much of the belt. Overall a great holster that will likely serve me for many hunting seasons and camping trips to come.

Works good. Strap was a little tight at first. Leave the gun strapped into the holster for a few days and the strap stretches to be just right. Not real good for use as a cross draw. Can't get gun angled enough; it just sticks into my hip.
