Galco D.A.O Holster

by jeff, from United States, CO Written on August 28, 2014
High quality product fits well as advertised. The leather is very good quality and fits the advertised S&W product very well. It would be nice if the inside was suede however it still is acceptable. The leather is very nice and used w/ a 6" revolver....

Another great Galco holster

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on May 17, 2011
This holster is great and I use it for my S&W 586 6" L-Frame. I was skeptical about using a holster with a side strap, as I'm used to defensive-type holster with thumb breaks, but it proves to be able to present the pistol quickly and without the need for fine motor skills. The holster rides at a nice height, particularly for a 6" revolver frame. The portion of the holster that your belt goes through is a bit narrow (I use 1-3/4" belts), and is a bit skinny in that it doesn't "spread" across much of the belt. Overall a great holster that will likely serve me for many hunting seasons and camping trips to come.
Pros: Galco quality, good looks, nice ride, secure fit
Cons: belt loops on narrow side, belt loops thin-set to what I prefer...

Fine Large Holster

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, AL Written on January 26, 2011
Quality. Holster Fits both my SW686 and Taurus 44Tracker. Very Handsome Holster. Good leather feel. Carries gun weight well. Fits guns well. Stiff from the onlet as you might expect. Takes some time to break in and soften. Wish it had an eyelet for a tie down.
Pros: Attractive, Sturdy, Quality
Cons: Non come to mind, though I'd always like to pay less...

Ruger alaskan holster

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on August 16, 2010
Works good. Strap was a little tight at first. Leave the gun strapped into the holster for a few days and the strap stretches to be just right. Not real good for use as a cross draw. Can't get gun angled enough; it just sticks into my hip....
