I own other kingtuk iwb holsters but this one is hard extracting my m&p9 an it catches the slide reholstering. This is the first one I've had a problem. I do like the comfort you don't now it's there....

Most Comfortable IWB holster I have ever worn!

by Yukon58, from United States, VA Written on March 18, 2015
I've been wearing IWB holsters for the better part of 31 years. I still have the first leather IWB I ever purchased in the 80's for a S&W Model 19, 2 1/2 inch revolver. But this IWB design is far better than any IWB I've worn since. I carry IWB frequently because of the nature of my profession. This IWB saves my suit jacket linings and furthermore, it conceals my weapon when I remove my jacket because of the "Kingtuk" design. If not for a handcuff case and spare mag holster on my left hip, you'd never know I was carrying. Don't let the large leather back pad scare you away like it did me at first. It adds to the comfort of this holster. It is a bit cumbersome to get on, I find it best to attach it with my trousers open and button up after it's in the pants. I even tuck the belt clips behind my belt to further conceal the holster. I was a bit concerned about retention, but the design assists the weapon come out with ease, while at the same time securely holds the weapon with the pressure of the back pad and belt. I wear one with a Glock 30 that is just as comfortable as a Glock 26/27 baby Glocks....
Pros:
  • Quality
  • cost
  • Comfortable and stays in place
  • Concealability
Cons:
  • installation
Best Used for:
  • Law Enforcment
  • concealed gun carry
  • Stealth

Just as good as CrossBreed and actually a little more comfortable

by Frank, from United States, MI Written on February 28, 2015
Bought the Kingtuk for my G30SF and find it to retain well and it feels very comfortable. I have used Supertucks since they first came out and this product is on par with theirs with the exception that Galco found a way to make a "softer cushion" feel for the IWB wearer. I concur that the draw is a little tighter than I would like but, that also makes for solid retention so, I find it acceptable. I would buy another one of these again....
Pros:
  • Affordable
  • Retention
  • comfortable to wear
Cons:
  • Slightly tighter on the draw
Best Used for:
  • Concealed carry (spring and summer)
  • Concealed carry with Tee-shirt

Abra Ca Dabra!

by Big Haas, from United States, PA Written on February 25, 2015
This is my first decent IWB holster, and I'm definitely impressed. I'm 5'10 225 and I conceal my Glock 17 with a t-shirt on, holster is comfortable, I wear my gun at about 10 o'clock and it's not too bad sitting/driving. I'd recommend this to anyone looking to conceal carry everyday. I honestly bought this to see how easy I could carry/conceal a full size gun, as I'm looking to pick up a 1911 commander soon. I do notice the weight a little bit but a good belt solves that....
Pros:
  • Conceals full size Glock
  • Easy to take holster on/off
Cons:
  • None

Galco Kingtuk IWB 45 cal

by hotrodstrat, from United States, IA Written on February 13, 2015
I purchased this holster for my Ruger SR1911. Decided to go with a IWB after researching reviews chose this one. Over all a very well made holster holds my 1911 tight it sits high where the handle is about 2-3 inches above my belt. Was trying it as a cross draw did work ok however the handle did imprint somewhat more sticking towards the front and did notice like more of leather "squeak" when worn on the left side maybe just needs more broken in. Overall good holster for a full size 1911 definitely you no it's there when you sit down. Would recommend....

Super comfortable IWB holster

by Bob, from United States, GA Written on February 11, 2015
I daily carry a Glock G22 which, loaded, weighs in at 37 ounces...a heavy weapon. This holster does a fantastic job of distributing the weight of the gun along the belt for stability and comfort. When I reach for where my gun is supposed to be it is always right there, not having moved all over the place.

Design, materials and workmanship are excellent.

I have worn the other, "original" hybrid IWB holster, Crssbreed, and it is good as well...for about double the price. With the Galco KingTuck you can't go wrong unless a hybrid wasn't right for you in the first place....

Great holster

by Adam, from United States, PA Written on January 20, 2015
It fits my Citadel officer 1911 like a glove. Perfect retention.

I wear it at 3:30 and after a couple days of wear, it has formed comfortably to my body.

The leather is nice and quiet, no creaking. The piece that goes between body and the rear of the slide works well, I feel no steel jabbing me....

Great deal

by Mike, from United States, VA Written on January 18, 2015
Purchased for a Springfield commander operator, fits great. Wasn't expecting to have to rotate on the draw, and I'm not sure that every gun will require it, but for me it's just additional retention. Feels good even against bare skin and makes my 1911 concealable even in light clothes as a average to athletic built guy....
Pros:
  • comfortable,
  • Excellent retention
Cons:
  • Screws back out often
Best Used for:
  • Consealed Carry

Galco Kingtuk

by None, from United States, TN Written on January 5, 2015
I bought this holster for my Glock 19. I believe it will fit all 9mm and 40 S&W Glocks though. I have a Trijicon RMR and suppressor sights on my Glock 22 and it still fits this holster just fine. It is very comfortable for all day wear, unless you are seated in a vehicle. With the holster positioned at the 4 o'clock, the magwell of the gun pushes into my back while seated in my vehicle. But, I have never owned a concealment holster that was comfortable while in a vehicle. The holster does an excellent job of concealing my gun no matter if my shirt is tucked or untucked. I also like that the holster doesn't flatten out and close, which makes it easy to re holster my weapon. That comes in handy after a long car ride since I will most likely store my gun in the center console until I exit the vehicle....
Pros:
  • concealibility
  • comfortable to wear
  • compatible with multiple guns
Cons:
  • Belt clips are obvious to a trained eye
Best Used for:
  • Concealed carry.

kingtuk IWB

by cogrev, from United States, NC Written on January 2, 2015
I purchased the IWB Kingtuk for my Sig P2022 and received it in excellent timing and the holster works great! I looked at a lot of others but this was recommended by a marine vet because of the comfort, style, and concealability. I wore his for a couple of days and fell in love with it. So I bought my own! After you wear it a few days, you will forget you even have it on other than the weight of the gun....
Pros:
  • Comfort
Cons:
  • None
Best Used for:
  • Concealed carry.
