Galco has made some very nice improvements with this newer version. The Miami Classic II has wider shoulder straps which really distribute the weight of the gun. I carry a full-size 1911 and it is very comfortable and doesn't dig into my shoulders. The holster has very detailed molding plus an adjustment screw for tension which holds your gun securely but doesn't hinder the draw. The biggest improvement is the horizontal mag carrier. This design really allows for quick and easy access to your spare mags and it's just a natural position for them to be in. The mag carrier also has the tension adjustment as well. I did buy the holster and ammo tie-downs and appreciate what they do but it is a personal option and the holster does fine without them. This is my third Galco holster along with numerous Galco accessories and in my opinion, Galco offers the finest production holster you can get without having the 6-8 month wait of the custom holster makers.
