I own two of these already...

by Sigsaholic, from United States, NH Written on March 18, 2015
...and I would have bought my third this week, but I'll tell you at the end of my post because after all, you want to know about the two that I am already using for the Glock 19 and Sig Sauer. I give the Miami Classic 5 Stars each for the job those do for both pistols. As you know, the Glock is a fairly light pistol and the sig...well, the Sig weighs about eight times more than the Glock.

I'm often wearing these holsters for eight to twelve hours at a time and all I can say is that the MCII is the best holster shoulder holster I have ever worn and I have always been partial to shoulder holsters. I have owned shoulder holsters for my S&W Chief Special that I bought in August of 1977. I think that it's safe to say that I know what works for me. Both holsters feel snug at first but as I got used to my first MCII for my glock, I noticed that there was a certain elasticity, Not constricting in any way but still reassuringly firm. It's easier to forget that you are carrying a Glock, but you could also forget the Sig is there too. Both feel good to take off after a long day or night, but you could certainly do worse. I'm 6'2 and weigh 220 pounds. I have no problem concealing under a half buttoned short sleeve shirt.

I understand that being a shoulder holster guy is not for everyone.I have heard all the Miami Vice, Don Johnson and Sonny Crockett comparisons. I have also heard that a shoulder holster is not as fast as a belt holster is to draw from. I can only tell you they work fo...

Great Holster

by Jeff, from United States, CA Written on February 8, 2015
Great holster. After a little break in, the holster is great. In addition I couldn't find a cheaper price anywhere after entering in a discount code. I would definitely recommend it for any one in the market for one....

Galco shoulder holster

by Wordman, from United States, IA Written on November 14, 2014
It's just what I was looking for and it works just like it's advertised. It took a few tries to get it adjusted correctly, it is comfortable to wear. I ordered a second set of hardware buttons and I like the way it holds the straps....

Galco Miami Classic II Shoulder System

by The Shootist, from United States, CO Written on September 29, 2014
I own many Galco products and find them to be about as good as it gets. Always high quality, fit and finish and the quality of the leather is top notch. This was my first "serious" purchase of a shoulder holster system. It is not for everyday any climate/condition wear or use. Proper outer wear is needed to "cover" your gear and this is not always possible depending on the climate or type of clothing needed, normally, for the occasion. The system does take time to get it just right for feel, comfort and useage. Some say adjust it so the holster and mag pouch are high up under the armpit....others say wear it where it is comfortable and useable....and also where it is best hidden under a topical outerwear garment. Bottom line...DO NOT CUT the excess straps for a long time if ever. REASON: You MUST take the time to adjust and readjust the fit until you are certain it is in the best place possible for your body type, etc. I suggest to NOT install the screws until you are all done. Because you will be sliding the straps for different "fine tuning" adjustments for some time while getting the positioning just right. BE PATIENT....IF you want this system to be "just right" for you.

Great product...but, you MUST take the time to wear it....adjust it....maybe readjust many, many times until it's feeling just right for you. The height of the holster and mag pouch as well as the "angle" must all be considered...and trust me...it's not done with just 1, 2 or 3 adjustments. M...

Galco Miami Classic II for Glock 21s

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, FL Written on June 24, 2013
I could not use it right out of the box because of the snug fit for my wide Glock 21SF. Once it soaked a little conditioner in, it was perfect. I would certainly rather it start out a little tight than too loose. Fits like a glove now. Less wide Glocks would not have this issue. Very well made. Nicest rig I found on the market.
Pros: Robust design, very secure horizontal holding, adjustability lets buyer fine tune to preferences, elegant executive LE appearance.
Cons: A little too stiff and tight fit at first, even with adjustments loose. Had to use some neatsfoot conditioner to make it just right. Note, my Glock is an SF and double stack WIDE....

Excellent quality; set up is everything.

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, CT Written on March 21, 2013
When set up correctly, even for large, heavy pieces, you will not even know it's there. Set up is everything. Center the back (4-piece equalizer plate) and decide if you need high concealibility. If so, adjust the rig lower- in that the holsters are just below your ribs- if this is the case, the belt tie downs are extremely helpful. Should you not require high concealibility, adjust the rig higher- right next to rib cage/ under arms. Remember- everything should be centered. To don, start with the rig empty and in front of you, facing the way it rests on your body. Then slip over and behind head, while placing arms through. If you don't love it- most likely it's not adjusted correctly. Get help from a friend.
Pros: Very adjustable
Cons: Most probably won't put the effort in to get it right...

First Shoulder Holster

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, SC Written on July 8, 2012
Hands down the best way to carry while driving, walking. Once adjusted for proper fit with 2 full mags in carrier the harness remains centered. Fit is snug at about two finger widths under armpits with slight upward grip, same for magazine holders. Currently using a Front Left 7th hole; Front Right 6th hole; Rear Left 6th hole; Rear Right 7th hole setup for a 10MM Glock 29SF with rails(unused) pistol. I am not cutting my excess strap length off. I just secured excess length with my own short chicago screws. I pinch holster with left arm and release thumb snap with back of right thumb and jerk for fast draw. I am very pleased with this holster from Optics Planet. I have worn it every day since. Hope this review is helpful.
Pros: Comfort, Concealability, Craftsmanship
Cons: None...

Easy Concealment

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, MN Written on January 23, 2012
Straps could be better designed for my liking... wider and thicker would be better to spread the load and reduce stretching. I carry a heavy auto with two 15 round mags so while it's nice to get the weight off my hips / belt my neck takes a pounding on long days.
Pros: Takes the weight off my belt
Cons: Light, thin straps are still stretching...

GALCO MIAMI CLASSIC II SHOULDER SYSTEM

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on August 11, 2011
I RECOMMEND THIS HOLSTER SYSTEM FOR ANYONE WHO HAS THE TIME TO WORK THE LEATHER IN ORDER TO CAUSE THE GUN AND MAGAZINES TO BE EASILY WITHDRAWN. MY LONGER SCREW REPLACEMENT WORKS FINE FOR ME AND THE INTEGRITY OF THE CARRY AND WITHDRAWAL HAS NOT BEEN DEGRADED.
Pros: SATISFIED WITH THE QUALITY OF THE LEATHER STRAPS, HOLSTER, AND MAG POUCHES. HORIZONTAL MAG POUCHES SUPERIOR TO VERTICAL ONES.
Cons: EXTREMELY TIGHT FIT FOR A GLOCK 21 AND MAGAZINES. WOULD HAVE REQUIRED A LENGTHY BREAK IN PERIOD IF I DID NOT REPLACE EXISTING HOLSTER/MAG POUCH ADJUSTMENT SCREWS WITH LONGER ONES. THE LONGER SCREWS ENABLED MORE ROOM IN THE HOLSTER AND MAG POUCHES. IN TIME, THE SCREWS CAN BE TIGHTENED TO ADJUST FOR WEAR OF THE LEATHER....
