Fits the bill

Does what its supposed to do and is easy to configure. I've got a 3x with my EOTech EXPS2-0 and no room for the rear cover unless I flip the scope. Shoulda thought of that before buying it. I've got it sitting in a box until I get another EXPS scope... ;-)
Pros: ease of use
Cons: replaces EOTech logos...

Great upgrade

This is a great upgrade for any Eotech and is cheap insurance for an expensive optic. If you have an Eotech get one. Enough said
Pros: Easy to install, looks great, adds protection to your investment
Cons: would like to see better quality on the hinges...

Overall great product. Looks great on sighting system and offers excellent protection for some otherwise very expensive equipment. Those covers stick a little when closing them, however. I'm guessing they need to wear in some so that they operate more smoothly. Very good product overall.
Pros: Sound protection, easy to install, easy to operate
Cons: Back cover sticks a little when closing. May just need to wear in some hopefully....

Nice budget accessory for an expensive sight

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, WI Written on December 31, 2011
It does what its supposed to. The metal cover seems to almost exactly the same, if not completely, as the original EOTech 516 cover. Took about 5 minutes to install, give or take, but the most time was spent trying to budge the original screws out of the cover, since they are locked in pretty good with Locktite. But once those pop loose, you insert a small plastic shim (provided) between the hood and the buttons so they don't get messed up, then slide the cover off. Then you put the new cover on, use the shim again, and once its on, remove the shim and put the screws back in.

People have mentioned they're afraid to strip the scews when they put them back in because of all the locktite inside... easiest way is when your tightening the screws, if there is any hesitation, back the screw out and go back and forth a few time, then put the screw in a little further and repeat as needed, just don't over tighten at the end.

The hoods are real nice, they even supply little neoprene pads to put on the cover to stop it from making noise when it pops open, if you want to put it on, I did. Both covers are spring loaded and snap shut, so they shouldn't open by themselves. ...
