My third one

by TKH, from United States, UT Written on January 12, 2015
I have one of these in each vehicle. It provides additional security needed in case I am somewhere, expectantly, where a firearm is prohibited. It will hold a full size CZ 75 and two magazines albeit a bit tight. I keep and little "emergency cash" in it as well. In a pinch it could be used as quick security when the little ones pop in to visit grandpa....

Great safe value

by Joe Palm Coast, from United States, FL Written on November 26, 2014
This is the 2nd one I have purchased (for another vehicle) as I was impressed with the first and have owned that for over 2 years now. The locking system is mechanical so there is no need for batteries, etc.

Easily installs in your trunk or under your seat....

Lock is junk

by Two shades, from United States, WA Written on September 12, 2014
Set lock, placed gun inside, darn thing jammed. A quick turn with a channel lock pliers and the lock was destroyed. Returning it soon. Price is right, product is wrong. Cheezmo lock. I was excited for it and severely disappointed ....
Best Used for:
  • Getting stuff stolen

Heavy Duty Portable Gun Safe

by Rick, from United States, FL Written on August 30, 2014
I purchase the Gunvault NV300 to replace a very similar one from another manufacturer that broke when I dropped it. The welded metal catch that holds the swinging lock arm in place had broken off when it dropped. The Gunvault NV300 model is clearly made from heavier gauge metal and it therefore heavier in weight. The locking mechanism is more solidly build as well, and the swinging lock arm "hooks" on to the metal catch rather than just sticking through it as the broken one did. Even the welded metal catch is made more solidly, however I can not see any difference in the welding of that piece to the bottom plate and I hope that it holds better than my previous one. But if this one breaks, I'm going to have that piece welded back on at a local machine shop, rather than buy yet another one....
Pros:
  • Heavy Duty
  • Portable

  • None

Not buy this one

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on April 25, 2014
Followed all instruction on setting combination. Please my new firearm inside, closed and locked. Tried to open the new safe with the new and old combination and it will not open. So my firearm is locked in a safe and i cannot get to it. Consumers - Test the safe before you purchase and even then, I would beware.
Pros: None
Cons: Will not unlock new out of the box...

Nano 300 w/ combo lock

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on April 3, 2014
Set up my combination. It was fairly easy once I looked up instructions on the web as no instructions came with it. Used it once. Opened it and it jammed. Will not lock, unlock, combination can't be reset as the piece on the back is stuck. Contacted company on web. No response. Now the website is down.
Pros: Sturdy Case
Cons: Cheap Lock...

Good lockable safe for my firearm

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, TX Written on January 5, 2014
Large enough for my full size firearm or 7 inch GPS, small enough to fit under the front seat of my truck. Seems to be very secured. Padding just enough to not damage contents.
Pros: Just the right size, compact, secure
Cons: plastic lock knob, combination lock ...
