Pros:  Fast, quite, easy to mount, all my pistols fit in it.
Cons:  Foam insert should not be pre-installed, interior light cannot be disabled.
Would recommend:  yes

Was initially skeptical before I purchased but now I'm glad I did. Plan on getting another one. Safe has many mounting options for your given setup whether you are right or left handed. Mine is on the nightstand that butts up to my bed. So its generally concealed from view. Buttons are positive and safe opens firmly with gravity. Despite some online videos there is no loud audible bang when safe opens. Not sure if its a new addition but mine has a rubber bumper at the bottom to absorb the impact of opening to reduce noise. Unit is large enough to hold a full size 1911. No provisions for an extra mag inside but if its small enough it will fit next to your gun inside. One complaint I have is that the foam insert is pre-cut and glued in. I would of preferred to do my own. Although the foam works well to securely hold several of micro conceal carry semis and revolvers it gets a bit tight on something like an HK USP. If you have a weapon light on your firearm like I do you will have to modify or rip the foam out so you light will fit. Not a big deal at all, just would of been easier if they had not of adhered the foam in advance. Also keep in mind that this is not really a "Safe". It meant to store a firearm next to a bed or under an office desk where you can quickly retrieve it, but keep curious kids out while you are home. This unit will not keep a determined burglar, a teenager or even a determined 9 year old out. All someone needs is a large screwdriver and 5 minutes and they can get in there. And if its a crook doing a smash and grab they will just take your whole nightstand or desk. I made discrete wire cable to secure my nightstand to my bed frame. So this is not a good solution if you are going to be out of town for a week. One reason I don't like the interior LED. If I will be out of the house for a prolonged period I put all my arms in a much larger fire safe. So I would rather just leave this unit open so if someone did break into my house I could leave the unit open so they could see it's empty so they don't have to destroy it. But the dang light stays on when the door is open so you would have to remove the battery so it doesn't die every time. one reason I would of wished it had an exterior 9v jack so I could plug it in. I would just rather not have the light come on anyways because I can see by feel in the dark and don't want to expose the fact that I'm awake and where I am if someone is already in my home. So I had to cover the LED with some electrical tape to blot it out. Other than that its a great concept that works very well and Optic Planet had the best price including the free fast shipping!
