I'm not a guy who likes to add on a bunch of cr%& to my rifles. Thus, I was a little worried that switching to the Hogue would add considerable weight. I don't notice a big difference. The feel of the new stock is a considerable improvement over the original stock. The added length (cannot remember- maybe another inch or so) improved the shouldering of the rifle. I have not shot the rifle since i installed the new stock so i cannot say if it has affected point of impact. I don't expect any issues. Overall, i recommend this as an upgrade to the original.
