Pros: Rubber overmold, grip shape
Cons: Fore end flex

I replaced the junk factory stock on a Savage Hog Hunter with this model Hogue. Fitment was better than the factory stock, however I ended up having to bed the magazine in the stock (the instructions seem to indicate that some sort of spacer is available, mine must have been left out). As a hunting stock, I think the Hogue is fine. I like the shape of the grip and the rubber overmold. My main complaint is that the fore end isn't stiff enough to use with a bipod. If you have a factory Accustock, I would say stick with it unless you prefer the rubber overmold. If it's a not an Accustock, the Hogue is an ok buy. If you plan on shooting with a bipod, save your money and buy a Manners stock.

Pros: Grip design, rubber overmold
Cons: Fore-end flex, not quite drop-in installation
Would recommend: yes

Installation took some extra work which was no big deal for me but would be difficult for someone who is not familiar with bedding stocks. The trigger guard and magazine needed spacers (or bedding) to fit properly. Definitely an upgrade over many Savage factory stocks (.308 Win Hog Hunter model in my application) but probably only marginally better than a Savage Accustock with difference being in the feel of the rubber overmold and grip design of the Hogue. The fore-end is not as stiff as I would like, especially with a bidpod attached, but I feel like it makes a great stock for hunting, especially in poor weather conditions.
