This boresnake definitely gets the job done, and quick. However, beware of where you use this as it makes a pretty big mess. The snake had a pretty tight fit in my 12ga and was tough to pull through, requiring some significant effort. Eventually it pulled through with some speed and threw barrel grime all over the place, highly recommend doing this outside or in the workshop.

This is a very useful product, I got it on sale here and got one for each caliber firearm that I own (22, 9mm/.357, 30-06). I shoot a ton on the range and find it very easy for on-the-go maintenance. The process is usually a hose down with a spray cleaner on the middle and gun lubricant on the ends, then one run through before shooting (and oil some other parts as well), then two run throughs afterwards. It's not going to replace taking apart your firearm and cleaning each piece, but it saves time overall and it does not require much force to be pulled through. One thing that I would recommend is using gloves as the cleaning fluid that I use tends to give off a strong odor.
