Pros:  Pre-cut for convenience
Cons:  no substitute for a swab at removing excess solvent
Would recommend:  yes

These work well for oiling the bore and for passing solvent through it as well. However they are no substitute for a good quality (Hoppes) cleaning swab for getting out all of the solvent while cleaning.

Pros:  Sort work on clean barrels
Cons:  on old military barrels they wil get shreaded to fur balls
