Ive had this little light for about 4 years now. It does what it is suppose to, changed batteries twice in 4 years but it saw minimal overall use. Compared to my streamlight flashlight I carry on my hip, this is no where near as bright. I would put it on par with a 3 c cell maglight as far as brightness. still disorienting, just not overwhelming like some others I use. as for fit, It fits any standard mil-spec rail. I saw another review stating it is not universal, which is untrue. It fits everything except the USP, and anyone who has a H&K should already know it has a different rail mount system than just about the rest of the industry and you need a adapter for about any mount. The only real cons I can say about the light itself is the intensity it lacks, and the inability to use laser only. It has been mounted thus far on a glock 23, m&p45, FNP-9, M&P 40 c, XD40, and a taurus millenium pro45, which it stays on most of the time due to I never carry that one. Fit everything Ive placed it on. Another draw back is on the compact handguns, such as the taurus and glock 23, you only have 1 rail slot, so it sits forward with the light head just past the muzzle and muzzle blast hits the lens. After 4 years there is some residue and damage to the lens that cannot come off or be cleaned. That is more of a mount issue versus the light as my others do it also, but no lens effects on them. overall, as for a light for the house, it would work great. I wouldnt take it into combat or a house raid, due to light intensity but it is sufficient for the house gun. I'd say on par with or equivilant to carrying a maglight, only smaller and attached! Would I buy again, yeah probably. It is extremely compact compared to all others in the price range, but you give up intensity for small size. For a full size pistol, id go with something else, but as compacts have limited choices, this is probably the best bet.
