Overall, very impressed!

by HikerBiker, from Ireland, N/A Written on August 18, 2014
Great optics- the anti-scratch works... they took a tumble to the ground and lenses remain scratch free! The anti-fog works well so far. They are heavier (front heavy in particular) than my other sunglasses and I would be reluctant to wear them on my mountain bike but for hiking/mountain climbing they work really well. The weight issue is counterbalanced by the excellent coverage of the eye area. The side pieces clip on/off and work really well in keeping gale-force winds and ultra-violet light out. The arms can be bent (from half way along their length) to any shape that suits, even straight back if necessary. I find the nose piece to be a slightly wide fitting but that I think, can be remedied with some padded sports tape (hopefully!). They could do with the addition of non-slip material on the inside of the arms. Because of those two last comments I have to reduce my rating from five stars to four stars....

Julbo Explorer Prescription Sunglasses

My prescription lenses are polarized brown.
Pros: Good sun blocking and optics!
Cons: The glasses squeeze my size large head at, and on, the ears. The rubbery side shields tend to loosen from the slot which anchors them to the frame....
