Pros:  extremely good in muddy or wet conditions when you 're using a soft case. We used this case in Australia in muddy, SALT water conditions and found it protected our weapons over-and-above a regular guncase. During the rainy seasons in Africa where weapons are left on gunracks in open jeeps, it keeps the gun case and the gun clean and dry. In extreme dry conditions, a certain amount of dust penetrates a regular case and the kolpin case keeps out the sand as well. In the mountains of British Columbia, our guides used them on the horses during the snowy, wet September weather. During the spring bear season in the Magadan region in Russia , I was the only one with a clean, dry gun at the end of each day while travelling numerous miles on snowmobile in wet, sloppy conditins. All the professional members involved from Australia, Africa, Russia and Canada were interested in obtaining this case.
Cons:  we tried to purchase more of these for our outfitting business but didn't have any luck, both in Canada and the US. The personnel in these stores explained to us that they no longer stocked them because of lack of customer interest. Unfortunately these individuals did not promote the sleeve properly because they were unaware of all the applicable uses.

We purchased a couple of these in the past and found them very useful. We then went online and ordered what we thought was the same sleeve. What we received was the black Uncle Mike's. The material is not nearly the quality of the green Kolpin. During freezing conditions, the black material becomes brittle and cracks. We now have 6 black sleeves that will not fit all our hunting demands. If the green Kolpin case is still available, we would still be interested in purchasing some but we are not happy with the black one.
