A bit about myself:
I have been an Amateur Astronomer since the early 1970's, I have owned many pairs of Binoculars, in all size and price points. I am pulling from this experience to write this review.
You probably wouldn't want to depend on a new Automobile review from someone that has just bought their first new car. These rate right up there with the Beautiful 20x80 Celestron Binoculars made in Japan by Vixen, true Classics and a joy to use. The Konusvue remind me a lot of those superb binoculars.
I have had my Konusvue 20x80 Giant Astronomical Binoculars for about 4 years now.
First off the Binoculars are superbly built. Fully Rubber Armored, they can take bumps and bruises
very well. That said, they Are fairly heavy.
They came with a hard carrying case not just a flimsy Nylon soft case, So far so good.
The rubber Armor has 11 raised ribs running the length of the barrels from the front brace to Prism housing that are ergonomic and provide a nice positive grip.
There are rings in the rubber at the top (Primary Lens) edge that help hold the dust caps on. THIS is a very nice feature and a verification that the people that designed them, took pains to make them
The eyepieces are also rubber coated with fairly deep roll down eye-cups, the Diopter adjustment on the
Right lens is knurled for positive grip.
