Great light gathering quality. Picks up a little heat "mirage" when on high (60) power but that is tolerable. Focus just a little soft on highest power but still able to see and recognize what you are looking for. No need to spend much more for the shooter at the range. Good at 300 - 800 yards. Don't expect a lot at 1000 yards. REquires a tripod capable of holding 6 pounds or more, (Vanguard). Also good for watching the neighbors subversive actions.

This scope offeres a lot for the money Do not be fooled by the low price. I have a Nikon 60 mm and rarely use it at its full 45x. This Konus can be used at 60x with ease and the focus is accurate all the way to 60x. Watched a bald eagle today at 3/4 mile and could see his eyes and count the pine needles on his branch. Could even see feather details. Would have to spend many hundreds more to get that type of performance. It is a great scope but plan on a solid tripod with quick detach mount for ease of use. What is not to love on this scope? Nothing.

Pros: The price & 100mm objective
Cons: 60 power is a stretch for this one

1st I comparing it to A Zeiss 85mm die scope witch is a lot more money. On 20 power this scope is very close to the Zeiss, but on 60 power it is a little dark for low light use, even with the 100mm lens. 2nd I compared it to a Nikon Porro Prism ProStaff 20-60x82 this is a much closer comparison. The glass on the Nikon may be a little nicer, but the 100mm lens made the 60 power more usable than the Nikon & $240.00 less.

Pros: IT gathers light well and i can see trace well out to 1600 meter. At max power can see .30 cal holes at 300 meters on paper very easy. Cheaper product that works great for longe range shooting.
Cons: need to buy a good tri pod . the balance is more in the front the center.
Would recommend: yes

The spooting scope allows for great light gathering can see well in early morning and late evening. It allows for great spoting of rounds at great distance. The glass is as clear as my kowa. for the price you can beat it.

I needed a scope that would allow me to see impacts from a .223 at 100m, which this scope does very well. There is no edge distortion at all even on high magnifications. You wouldn't really want to lug it around on a hunting trip, and you have to make sure you get a real sturdy tripod as this thing is pretty nose heavy.

You will need to invest in a substantial tripod to get the maximum performance from this optic.
