This should be your FIRST Spotting Scope

by Dimitri, from United States, NY Written on December 17, 2014
This product is amazing. I took it out for a 200 yard range day and on lower powers it had no problem seeing the black holes that a .308 makes. The fact it has a camera mount makes this product amazing and I can say it would out preform some higher priced models.

When reading up on this scope, people were saying about purple rings around the lens at higher powers. That is true, in my case, but when I pulled over the sun cover in the front it eliminated most of the purple....
Pros:
  • GREAT PRICE
  • Clear
  • Solid Frame
  • Camera Mount
Cons:
  • Bulky
  • Purple Rings on high power
Best Used for:
  • Range use
  • Animal Watching

Well built with smooth focus and clear sight in good light. Purchased to use at the gun range. The fitted bag will not let you insert the scope with the tripod mounting foot attached to the scope. Other than that I am happy with my purchase. Now looking for a more suitable bag to carry the scope and it's accessories in....

Bright Spotting Scope by Konus Konuspot!

by John, from United States, NM Written on December 10, 2014
This is a bright scope with no problem identifying .223 caliber holes at 200-300 yards. Need a heavy duty tripod to prevent tip-over. For the money this is an excellent value. Consider purchasing a padded case from someone like Creedmoor Sports....

Konus20-60x100 Spotting Scope

Very good scope for the money and very clear. The only problem, as most reviews said the scope is front heavy. These new scopes come with a bracket to off set the weight which probably works good for scope stands the have a horizontal mount but mine has a vertical side mount and the scope will want to drop easily if bumped, but still I think great value for the money....

Konus Konuspot 20-60x100 Spotting Scope

by RoanWrangler, from United States, MD Written on November 12, 2014
Most likely a fair value for the price.

The scope is used for spotting .223 holes at
100 and 200 yards. I find it difficult to
see the holes clearly at either distance using various colors
and splatter/paper targets.

The size is something to consider. A solid
stand is needed and plenty of room to haul around.

Before purchasing, I tried the 80mm version and thought
that the view was fine at 200 yards. Sometimes, bigger
is not better. The view is roughly equivalent to the
63mm Bushnell it was intended to replace.

Wish I had saved for a better scope, but I may need to
spend 5 - 7 times more....
Best Used for:
  • Paperweight

Konus Konuspot 20-60x100 Spotting Scope - 7122 100mm

I found the optic to be very good the 100mm lens let in allot of light. Made it much easier to see holes at 300 yards. This spotting scope is big and you will need a real good stand to hold the scope steady. worth the money...

Best Value Around

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, MA Written on March 30, 2014
After extensive research into Scopes under $400.00, I chose this one and have not had ANY regrets. In my opinion, it has clarity equal to that of scopes costing twice as much. Scopecoat also offers FANTASTIC custom fit 'stay on' covers of their neoprene fabric for the ideal protection of these scopes.
Pros: Clear, Accurate, Ease to Operate
Cons: A Tad Heavy...

Konus 20-60x100 Spotting Scope

Excellent response to adjustments. Can see 22 caliber bullet holes out to 200 yards plus. I attach scope to my heavy duty tripod mounted to a weighted base plate to lower center of gravity to prevent accidental tip overs.
Pros: Great overall quality.
Cons: Somewhat heavy but usable....

Konus 20-60x100 scope

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, AZ Written on September 15, 2013
Very nice scope. Easy to focus, clear image and no problem seeing 17HRM holes at 150 yards. Also got the Nikon 1585 T/2 ring ($20)for my Nikon D3000. Works great, takes nice clear pictures. The only negative comment is that the scope is longer and heaver than most and not well balanced relative to the tripod attachment. Make sure you have a good quality sturdy tripod, you will need it.

Pros: Very clear picture, sun shade a nice plus.
Cons: Heavy and not well balanced...

Konus 20 x 60 x 100mm

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on August 7, 2013
Best scope on the market for the money and I have tried many different brands. IMO you would have to step up to a Kowa if you want a better optic. I can see 22 long rifle holes at 200 yards with the right color target, I use white and orange. 100mm lens is great in low light but its heavy. I bought a $30.00 Vangard stand at Cabelas and it holds it steady no problem. I would buy another in a heartbeat. My only real complaint is the case, this one provides almost no padding and trying to find something aftermarket that fits this monster has proven to be a challenge so far.
Pros: Geat scope
Cons: Case sucks, a little heavy, no stand...
