Konus Konuspot 20-60x100 Spotting Scope - 7122 100mm

by butch56, from United States, NY Written on September 1, 2014
I found the optic to be very good the 100mm lens let in allot of light. Made it much easier to see holes at 300 yards. This spotting scope is big and you will need a real good stand to hold the scope steady. worth the money...

Best Value Around

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, MA Written on March 30, 2014
After extensive research into Scopes under $400.00, I chose this one and have not had ANY regrets. In my opinion, it has clarity equal to that of scopes costing twice as much. Scopecoat also offers FANTASTIC custom fit 'stay on' covers of their neoprene fabric for the ideal protection of these scopes.
Pros: Clear, Accurate, Ease to Operate
Cons: A Tad Heavy...

Konus 20-60x100 Spotting Scope

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, TX Written on November 23, 2013
Excellent response to adjustments. Can see 22 caliber bullet holes out to 200 yards plus. I attach scope to my heavy duty tripod mounted to a weighted base plate to lower center of gravity to prevent accidental tip overs.
Pros: Great overall quality.
Cons: Somewhat heavy but usable....

Konus 20-60x100 scope

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, AZ Written on September 15, 2013
Very nice scope. Easy to focus, clear image and no problem seeing 17HRM holes at 150 yards. Also got the Nikon 1585 T/2 ring ($20)for my Nikon D3000. Works great, takes nice clear pictures. The only negative comment is that the scope is longer and heaver than most and not well balanced relative to the tripod attachment. Make sure you have a good quality sturdy tripod, you will need it.

Pros: Very clear picture, sun shade a nice plus.
Cons: Heavy and not well balanced...

Konus 20 x 60 x 100mm

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on August 7, 2013
Best scope on the market for the money and I have tried many different brands. IMO you would have to step up to a Kowa if you want a better optic. I can see 22 long rifle holes at 200 yards with the right color target, I use white and orange. 100mm lens is great in low light but its heavy. I bought a $30.00 Vangard stand at Cabelas and it holds it steady no problem. I would buy another in a heartbeat. My only real complaint is the case, this one provides almost no padding and trying to find something aftermarket that fits this monster has proven to be a challenge so far.
Pros: Geat scope
Cons: Case sucks, a little heavy, no stand...

Konuspot 20-60x100

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, MT Written on April 29, 2013
This unit offers great optical quality for the price. I needed a scope that would show .22 caliber bullets holes in targets out to 200 yards and beyond, and the Konuspot will do it. My only complaint is the unit is large and a bit heavy, so you will need a sturdy full size tripod for most situations. Excellent performance and features for the price, I recommend it.
Pros: Great optical clarity
Cons: Big and relatively heayy...

Good for the money

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, NE Written on June 25, 2012
Much better than a 60mm objective. Can use the 60x and still have a decently bright picture. Mine happens to move the view a little when focusing, something probably not aligned but it doesn't bother me. Wish it had a hard case to protect it during storage and transport.
Pros: Awesome light gathering
Cons: No hard case...

Good optics

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on June 6, 2012
This scope has excellent light gathering and good optics. Most scopes in this price range, as well as some more expesive scopes, have trouble with clarity at 60X. Drop your magnification a bit until you are able to get sharp focus at the range you are sighting and this scope performes beautifully. The tripod mount is a little bit off for a good balanced mount. If you purchase a tripod suitable for the weight of this scope it shouldn't be a problem. This scope is an excellent value.
Pros: Light gathering
Cons: Center of gravity...

600 Yard Benchrest

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on May 13, 2012
I got this scope for 600 yard benchrest and practice at 400 yards. You can see 30 cal holes at 400 if the Mirage is not too bad. no way at 600, to be fair my partners $2,500 Zeis couldn't make them out either.
This scope is for reading Mirage at 600 yard matches.
At 40 power and focused at 200 yard flag, the mirage was crisp and had a great field of view. The focus controls work smoothly and are fine enough for precise adjustment. I don't think you can beat this scope for the money.
cons
The lens caps wont stay in place, the case has poor padding, there is no provision for installing a filter to cut UV or polarizer if you want to increase clarity for viewing targets and protecting the optics. keep in mind that a "Quality Filter" in 100mm would cost as much as the scope!
Pros: Clear Optics, Light Weight for 100mm, Great focus
Cons: cheap lens lovers, Bag padding poor....
