I shoped around a long time before I made the decesion to buy This range finder. This is a absolute must for Forestry, and Timber cruising. What a difference in saved time, at the end of the day. Just point and shoot. Excellent. The Directions are really easy to follow, and understand. I bought this from opticsplanet.com, and my decesion was made because they let you pay through Pay Pal, my only choosen method of on line shoppping, and also free shipping, and were they ever fast at shipping, I highly recomend them, and will be a return shopper.
Pros: Super easy to use.
Cons: Buttons get bumped to easy....

TruPulse 200 Laser Rangefinder

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, CA Written on July 27, 2009
So far it is a good machine. It is compact and fast for measuring tree heights. This system uses an inclinometer so an unobscured view of the tree top is less crucial than some of the other models which rely purely on distance measurements. The accuracy is adequate for tree heights but insufficient for measuring limiting distances associated with plot radius factors. Still, we are finding this intrument to be a useful tool which is boosting our productivity. ...

First Range Finder - Not Bad

This is my first range finder purchase. It works very well so far as I can tell. I wish the lcd display had some sort of lighting so it could be read in low light conditions.
Pros: Accurate, compact, fairly simple
Cons: No display lighting...

TruePulse 200

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, MI Written on July 31, 2007
I have been using the TruePulse 200 in sometimes harsh back country conditions for a year now. We are still on the original set of batteries! It is just as accurate as day one, a huge time saver for our work with finding and documenting champion trees. Several times we would have been forced to spend many hours climbing 125 foot trees to accurately measure them were it not for this tool. It does in 2 minutes or less what once took 25 to 30 minutes with a clinometer and tape. A bit salty on the price tag, but worth every penny.
Pros: Long battery life, durability, fast, accurate.
Cons: None, except price....
