Pros: Portable
Cons: Not enough caliber choices offered in bullet style

Bullet style laser inserts are a little expensive. Not many caliber choices other than universal pro insert. Great way to practice and not spend a lot of cash doing it. Very safe way to teach beginners also.

Pros: able to practice technique without spending a fortune
Cons: can't see your shots without hitting the display button
Would recommend: yes
IDLVR wrote:
When you shoot the shot does not show unless you hit the display button. So if you make 5 shots, you can't see where any of them hit until you shoot the display button to light up those shots. Would be best if you could see the shot immediately so you can work on improving your technique with the next shot.

would be nice if the target area was a bit larger. Seems to work well with the trainer cartrage (S&W .40)

The display and reset areas are sometimes very particular about where you hit them with the laser. The unit also seems a bit pricey for what it does. other than that, the unit allows me to practice without using ammo. I also found that if the laser cartridges have their switches go bad you can order new ones from laserlyte for $10 each. You get about 3-5000 shots out of each (sometimes more).

This a a great way to sight in your guns to get them fairly close before heading to the range. I also like using this to practice between trips to the range (saves on ammo). I recently purchase a new double action only pistol that had a longer trigger pull than my others... This target system really helped me dial in the staging of the trigger.

Pros: Excellent range, display and reset features are great, seems well made
Cons: not extremely accurate
Would recommend: yes

Batteries seem to last a LONG time and I can stand over 30 feet away and it still registers hits. The display and reset buttons allow you to see and clear your performance from shooting distance. My only complaint is that the sensors that read the laser hits are too far apart so many good hits will look like a single hit.

Pros: Practice all day, indoors, at reasonable range without the cost of ammo.
Cons: Battery life could be a little better. No independent reset button
Would recommend: yes

When I read some of the other reviews while shopping, I was a little apprehensive. I ordered it anyway. Now, having used it many times, I believe the unit to be well worth the price. It allows unlimited indoor practice, at reasonable range, without the cost of ammo. As a bonus, no gun cleaning after each session. While an independent reset button would be nice, the absence of one is not a real problem. The price of fresh batteries is nothing compared to the cost of ammo, even reloading every caliber I shoot. I'd buy the unit again in a minute!
