Practice Self Defense

by bludimon, from United States, OH Written on July 30, 2014
If you follow the PDN you know how important practice is for your carry weapon - but ammo costs are high. Now you can get trigger control, recoil management, and (non-sight) aiming fine-tuned. Become the well trained CCW person that can react - in your garage....

With aammo prices what they are, I don't see how you can afford NOT to have one of these.

LaserLyte Laser Trainer Cartridge 9mm, 40 S & W, 45 ACP, Pistol Laser Trainer Pro, Universal Laser Trainer LT1

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, NH Written on March 1, 2013
I purchased the LaserLyte (2) 9mm, (2) 45 ACP, (1) 40 S & W and laser trainer target. Out of the (5) cartridges purchased (3) were defective and returned. One of the 9mm cartridges didn't work the other is working fine. Returned both 45 ACP cartridges neither cartridge would fit in any of my 45's (H&K USP Full Size & Compact, Glock). After returning the product I called the manufacturer because I bought the Pistol Laser Trainer Pro which also didn't work (the laser stayed on dimly lit) and (2) universal laser trainer LT1, neither worked the (sound pills were both bad). The manufacturer said I don't understand why there are so many problems with the product. I asked if they were manufactured in China. She said no Arizona. I hate seeing every product I purchase with "Made in China" stamped on it but, because she said it was made in Arizona I sent the items back to the manufacturer for repair. I want to keep Americans working. The LaserLyte 45 ACP cartridges apparently need lubrication for them to fit. I do my own reloading and measured the length of the LaserLyte cartridge. It was about an 8th of an inch too long for the firing chamber and prevented the slide of (3) pistols from closing. My patience with LaserLyte products is wearing thin but, if you get a LaserLyte product that you can use in your firearm and shoot it at the Laser Trainer Target it sure is a lot of fun... WHEN THE SYSTEM WORKS!

LT-45: LaserLyte Laser Trainer Cartridge

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner from United States, MO Written on November 17, 2012
Bought the LT-45 laser cartridge as a training aid for concealed carry draw and fire,
it has worked perfectly each time I use it. Used in my Kimber Compact ll, the half hour to forty five minutes a night is a genuine help not only with target acquisition, but trigger control also. The laser stays on just long enough so as to see the hit on the target, but
*also* to demonstrate the follow through of your trigger squeeze. I have a shooting range
on my property, but this laser cartridge eliminates putting off practice because of bad weather or just to lazy to drag targets, ammo and my old butt out in the cold or heat.
Plus the money saved on ammo, it pays for itself in a weeks time.

Makes dry firing more fun

by Legacy Reviewer, Verified Owner Written on August 17, 2012
It's a nice adjunct for dry firing, but the point of impact seems to move with regard to the sights.
Pros: Gives you a reference when dry firing
Cons: Doesn' match up with the sights...
