Just as the name says, a great "Training" cartridge !

by Gregg, from United States, SC Written on July 31, 2014
This thing works great. After an on duty injury a while back, I haven't been able to go to the range. Now I can practice while sitting in the recliner watching TV! I don't have to buy any ammo and don't have to get up to hang a fresh target. Since the hearing protection used to cut out the noise on the range, now the only thing I'm missing is the recoil. Within the next couple of weeks I now plan to order the 9mm and .45acp versions (and some extra batteries)! As an instructor this thing would be great to help new students get ready for qualification....
Pros:
  • No need for expensive ammo
  • No need to buy targets
  • Don't need to drive to the range
  • Can use inside the house
  • Don't need to clean weapon afterwards
  • grat practice for beginners
Cons:
  • None yet!
Best Used for:
  • Practicing
  • Instructing

Practice Self Defense

If you follow the PDN you know how important practice is for your carry weapon - but ammo costs are high. Now you can get trigger control, recoil management, and (non-sight) aiming fine-tuned. Become the well trained CCW person that can react - in your garage....

Clever tool, actual use will vary

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on April 12, 2013
Glock 27 must be slide cocked to work. The .380 in my SW Bodyguard fires as many times as you pull the trigger. These trainer cartridge should be tested with a wide variety of guns they can be used in. A list should be available as to how they work for each.
Pros: Purchased for Glock 27, fits chamber correctly
Cons: Two of the three batteries installed were dead....

LT-9 laser trainer cartridge

by Legacy Reviewer, from United States, WA Written on March 10, 2013
I use the laser target with the cartridge.
The Target should have instructions with it stating to place it in a shaded area. I had it on the opposite wall of my TV and had a lot of times it would not register a shot. found that is was due to scene changes in the TV that effected the targer.

Pros: Very easy to use - batteries last longer than i expected
Cons: I can't think of anything I don't like about it...
