I liked the advertised features: blinking mode, ambidextrous switch, compact size, doubling as a mount, but it doesn’t work. The sight seems to have a good amount of horizontal adjustment, far more than a telescopic sight, but (top mounted) the laser dot is way far to the right of the point of impact and can not be adjusted to that point. I’ve placed the unit on to the Weaver mounts of 2 different rifles both of which work fine with scopes (one of them with two different scopes); in each case the LaserMax is way too far right to be adjusted on target. Useless. Because this defect is so large it’s likely a manufacturing defect. I’ve tried to contact LaserMax without success. My unit came with a warranty registration card; on the bottom of the card it said, “For your privacy, LaserMax encourages you to complete this warranty card online at www.lasermaxusa.com.” That site does open, but when I click on product warranty something starts to load, but never completes loading. I’ve tried ...

I ordered this item last week and I just heard the knock on the door from the UPS man and there it was! I opened it it up and cleaned it (not that it was dirty, but I have OCD...so it makes me feel better to clean EVERYTHING that goes on my firearms) right away and mounted it on my new Smith and Wesson M&P 9mm. I thought this laser sight was going to be bulky and some-what large (regardless of the image on the OpticsPlanet website), but this thing is VERY SMALL! Which for me is a big plus. It mounted with no problems and I was able to change the beam with no problems either. I love the fact one can switch from a steady beem to a flashing beam. However, to change from one setting to the other, you need to remove the battery cover and turn a screw...which is not a problem. And what is very neat about this item once more is the fact that you can mount something else underneath it because it comes with a built-in mount just like the pictures show. :) Overall, I am VERY pleased with this ...

I bought this laser for use when out coyote hunting at night and raccoon hunting. The Lasermax came highly recommended for quality and durability, I took it out once for hunting coyote and it would not turn on, once i got it on, it worked great, great range everything as advertised, the moment I took a shot, it'd click off and not come back on, for the money, it should work all the time, I returned mine for a refund.
