This laser was dirt cheap. It does produce a strong, reliable laser beam. I have it mounted on an XD 45 Tactical and have shot over 300 rounds with the laser mounted. It continues to work without a hicup. The problem is with the mount. The screws which secure the mount to the pistol rail are the same screws which secure the laser in the mount. The problem is trying to devine the correct sequence for tightening the screws to secure the mount to the rail and at the same time secure the laser in the mount with some semblance of zero. The zero will never be perfect since there are no separate adjustments for windage and elevation. But, any zero of laser will only be good for one set distance. If you move back from that set distance, the laser will be above impact; and if you move forward, the laser will be below impact. The laser beam and the bullet path can only intersect (zero) at one point or distance. The laser will get you on body mass and will hopefully scare the bravado out of the individual you paint with the laser. And, that in itself helps achieve some personal defense without having to discharge your weapon.
